Basato sui personaggi DC Comics, la nuova serie sarà prodotta da Bonanza Productions Inc. in associazione con Berlanti Productions e Warner Bros. Television. Greg Berlanti (The Flash, Supergirl, Arrow), sarà il produttore esecutivo al fianco di Marc Guggenheim, Andrew Kreisberg e Sarah Schechter. Phil Klemmer (The Tomorrow People, Chuck, Veronica Mars) sarà lo showrunner.

Nello spin-off delle due serie The CW Arrow e The Flash intitolato DC's Legends of Tomorrow farà la sua comparsa per un certo numero di episodi, un arco narrativo ambientato nella Guerra Fredda, la bella Stephanie Corneliussen nei panni della villain Valentina Vostok, Negative Woman, il Tenente Colonnello dell'Aviazione Sovietica fusosi con Negative Man e introdotto da Paul Kupperberg e Joe Staton su Showcase #94.

A riportare la notizia è The Wrap che anticipa anche il ruolo del personaggio. Verrà introdotta quando il gruppo misto di eroi e villain si ritroveranno a viaggiare nel tempo, in particolare nel periodo della Guerra Fredda, e Atom e Captain Cold dovranno contendersi le sue attenzioni per capire se è schierata con il big villain Vandal Savage (Casper Crump) o meno.
