I nominati della Image coprono un ampio spettro di titoli, con nomination multiple per The Cull, Black Cloak e Transformers. In cima alle nomination della DC ci sono Birds of Prey, Detective Comics, Shazam! e Nightwing. Seguono Fantagraphics (11 nomination), First Second (10 nomination) IDW (9 nomination) e Marvel Comics con 5 nomination.

In occasione dei 40 anni dalla nascita delle Tartarughe Ninja ad opera di Kevin Eastman e Peter Laird, IDW ha deciso di rilanciarne la serie a fumetti, considerando il successo ottenuto dai suoi titoli e in particolare da The Last Ronin, che per due anni di fila si è piazzata al numero 1 come graphic novel più venduta dell'anno in America. 

La nuova serie sarà scritta da Jason Aaron (Scalped, Thor) e i primi 4 albi saranno dedicati singolarmente a ogni tartaruga, ognuna della quali sta seguendo un proprio percorso personale. Il primo numero, disegnato da Joëlle Jones, sarà incentrato su Raffaello, che si troverà in prigione. Rafael Albuquerque disegnerà il #2 che si concentrerà su Michelangelo mentre il #2 e il #3, dedicati a Leonardo e Donatello, saranno illustrati rispettivamente da Cliff Chiang e Chris Burnham.

"All'inizio di questa nuova serie, le Tartarughe hanno preso strade diverse e sono finite in posti sorprendenti", ha dichiarato Aaron, spiegando l'impostazione della serie. “Il primo protagonista è Raffaello, l'unico detenuto mutante in una prigione piena di assassini, portato in vita in maniera meravigliosamente grintosa da Joëlle. Non vedo l’ora che la gente lo legga per vedere dove andremo a parare.

Manga Productions lancia Goldrake U: in arrivo a Luglio con scene ambientate in Europa

Manga Productions, azienda leader nel settore dei contenuti in Arabia Saudita, presenta il secondo trailer per la nuova serie anime "Goldrake U", che torna sugli schermi dopo 40 anni dalla messa in onda della serie originale. Molti dettagli interessanti sono stati rivelati, tra cui l'apparizione di varie scene ambientate in Arabia Saudita, in Francia e in Italia. Sono stati inoltre rivelati i nuovi disegni dei personaggi e delle Saucer Beasts, insieme alla data di trasmissione ufficiale: luglio 2024.

Il secondo trailer è stato lanciato in quattro lingue: arabo, francese, italiano e inglese sul canale YouTube di Manga Productions (@MangaPrductions), ed è ora disponibile sui social media ufficiali internazionali di "Goldrake U" (@GrendizerAnime).

Dr. Essam Bukhary, CEO di Manga Productions, ha commentato questo lancio attraverso i suoi social media, dicendo: "Noi di Manga Productions, in collaborazione con i nostri partner in Giappone, siamo lieti di presentare il personaggio di UFO Goldrake alle generazioni future in un modo nuovo ed emozionante, attraverso la distribuzione e la commercializzazione di questo lavoro al pubblico globale. Nel 2022 era stata annunciata una partnership strategica tra Dynamic Planning e Manga Productions per la licenza di "Goldrake", al fine di utilizzarlo in prodotti e personaggi per eventi di intrattenimento in tutto il mondo, escluso il Giappone. Questa collaborazione ha portato alla presentazione della statua del personaggio di "Goldrake" nella città di Riyad (Arabia Saudita), registrata nel Guinness dei primati come la più grande statua di metallo di un personaggio immaginario nel mondo, con i suoi 33 metri di altezza. Il primo teaser della serie è stato lanciato all'AkibaDaisuki Festival di Tokyo nell'agosto 2023, e il primo video promozionale è stato rilasciato nel dicembre dello stesso anno. Lo scorso anno, Manga Productions ha inoltre rilasciato il gioco "UFO Robot Grendizer: La festa dei lupi" in Medio Oriente e Nord Africa, in collaborazione con la società francese Microids.

Secondo il trailer ufficiale inglese lanciato sul canale YouTube di Manga Productions, la nuova serie è basata su "UFO Robot Grendizer" di Go Nagai. Il secondo video promozionale presenta lo staff di "Goldrake U", supervisionato dal Direttore Mitsuo Fukuda, con la Composizione della Serie e la Sceneggiatura di Ichiro Okouchi e lo script di Tatsuhito Higuchi. Il design dei personaggi è curato da Yoshiyuki Sadamoto, mentre Mari Araki è responsabile per il Design dei personaggi secondari. Il design meccanico è realizzato da Wataru Inata, AF_KURO e Junichi Akutsu (Astrays), con la collaborazione di Pinakes, Tomoyuki Aoki, Zenseava e Masato Yoshinaga. Tra gli illustratori principali: Hiroyuki Taiga, Takashi Hashimoto, Masahiro Yamane e Toru Yoshida. I direttori artistici sono Hiroshi Kato e Hirofumi Sakagami (Totonyan), mentre Tomoe Yoshimura gestisce il Design del Colore e Atsushi Usuta (Nexus) si occupa della fotografia. Yukio Nagasaki è Direttore del suono, con Effetti sonori di Toshiya Wada e Maki Takuma (Swara Pro). La colonna sonora è composta da Kohei Tanaka, la Produzione musicale è curata da PONY CANYON e la Produzione di animazione è curata da GAINA."
